History
For over 20 years Susan has worked with people within a therapeutic environment. For the last 12 years Susan worked directly with children, young people and parents in a Social Care setting. Susan has qualifications in Counselling, Life Coaching, Social Care and Teaching.
Susan has also completed the advanced specialist courses; Hydrotherm Pregnancy Massage, IAIM Certificate in Baby Massage and the St. John’s Ambulance Certificate in Early Years First Aid and is in the top of her field in Holistic Pre and Postnatal Care.
Susan is CRB checked and an insured practitioner through BABTAC. The Balm First Aid provides empowering courses and services for parents, grandparents, groups and carers and is run by Susan Patterson-Smith who has been involved in the Complementary Therapy and Social Care Field for many years. Susan is experienced, mature and enthusiastic about working with families as a whole, having previously worked for the Family Welfare Association, Social Services and Parent line Plus.

The Balm First Aid is a dynamic business that provides Paediatric First Aid Courses to Parents, Carers, Nannies and Aupairs throughout the South London Area. The Balm First Aid was born in May 2007 by Pre & Postnatal Wellbeing Speacilaist and Educator, Susan Patterson-Smith and is based in Wandsworth, London.
