You can study the course part time, so you can apply your learning in the workplace straight away.

This course is accredited by the Association of Corporate Treasurers and offers exemptions from their professional exams.
The programme has been developed in consultation with finance professionals at RBS Capital Markets, Commerzbank AG, Standard Chartered Bank and NatWest Bank to give you the practical, real-life skills employers require in this highly competitive sector.

About this course

This course is designed for students from a variety of academic backgrounds, including those who have not studied economics, finance or accountancy at bachelors level. It is ideal for both:

those who already have work experience in banking and other financial services and want to enhance and further their knowledge and understanding; as well as
graduates who would like a rewarding, exciting and challenging career in the area of banking and finance.
At its last inspection by the Higher Education Funding Council, Kingston Business School was awarded an 'excellent' rating for its teaching quality, one of only a few from 120 UK business schools to receive such recognition.

The programme focuses on the practice of banking and finance, preparing you for the wide variety of careers in banking, the financial services, finance, and financial consultancy. It has a balanced approach between quantitative and qualitative methods, and it provides you with the computer and research skills required by employers in this highly competitive sector.

The course has been developed with advice from managers at a number of banks, including RBS Capital Markets, Commerzbank AG, Standard Chartered Bank and NatWest Bank.

Teaching is delivered by banking and finance experts, and the course content is supported by active researchers. There is also a programme, built in to the modules, of guest lectures from experts in banking and the financial services sectors.

The course will prepare you for a variety of careers in banking, investment banking and financial services. In addition, the transferable skills and knowledge you obtain will prepare you for wider career paths in finance and financial management.
