A formative and engaging course that introduces learners to the mechanical aspects of the airbrush and teaches them how to use it to create basic beauty make up for, Day make up Evening make up, Proms make up and the very popular Bridal make up.

Understanding the correct foundation type, colour, how to apply it well, and getting the maximum wear from the product

Understand airbrush trouble shooting.
Clean and maintain airbrush equipment.

Anyone who works in the Performing Arts industry or the Hairdressing industry.

Make up Skills, but not essential.

Academy Certificate.

Only one learner is enrolled on this course and will have one to one training to ensure the learner has full training throughout the 2 days.

Lesson 1:
Welcome.Introduce airbrushing and explanation of the course, Q & ATeacher facilitating the session & observing the learners development during session The health & safety requirements.Introduction of all airbrush equipment -the workings-discussion regarding the types of airbrush make up available.-colour theory-understanding various skin colour & tones and how to match foundations.-Recording services the importance. Understand trouble shooting.
  • Demonstration
-Demonstration- the control and flow of makeup -Learner activities & Checking of learning-Learners will practice what they have seen during demo-Teacher facilitating the session-Demonstration basic clean down of the air brush-Learner activities & Checking of learning-learners to practice cleaning down of their airbrush.
Teacher facilitating the session-Demonstration full strip down of the air brush-home work to research a make up to create in the next session.-Assessment of today session to ensure understanding as been gained.-Recap/summarize/review/evaluate the first lesson. -Consolidation of session.
Lesson 2:
Welcome.Recall previous Knowledge lecturer led Q&AIntroduce the session’s topicTeacher facilitating the session & observing the learners'development during assessmentStudents with prior knowledge may work towards assessment.
  • Demonstration

-Understanding facial anatomy, applying airbrushing technique to a model and applying, contouring techniques, blusher, etc...-Student activities & Checking of learning-Setting up their work stations with all designs, plans, materials and equipment.-Preparing the model and explaining the procedure.-Compliance to health and safety throughout-Students to create their chosen make up using prepared design worksheets, plans and research material. -Apply airbrush make up to create chosen design-Photographs for awarding body evidence of range.-Cleaning and tidy up of work area
-Health & safety practices followed throughout to use tools correctly.


Assessment of the days session
-Reflection and evaluation of the session will take place through group discussion at the end, tutor led.-Recap/summarize/review/evaluate the two lessons
End of session
