Description
There are a broader range of units at Level 3 which makes this qualification suitable for senior salon staff. Students will be expected to work as part of a team within a salon environment.

What will I study?
You will develop knowledge, understanding and skills relevant to the Beauty industry including health & safety, maintaining and improving services, financial effectiveness, epilation, body massage, mechanical and electrical treatments (face and body), micro-dermabrasion and anatomy and physiology. You will also learn functional skills which are English, Maths and ICT as required.

How will I learn?
You will learn in state-of-the-art treatment rooms and salons, using industry standard equipment and high quality product and have access to the latest online learning materials delivered using Smartboards and plasma screen TVs. The course will be taught using a variety of approaches. These include; practical work, directed learning, independent study and tutorials.

How will I be assessed?
All units are assessed throughout the course using a variety of methods including; observation, oral questions and external online tests.

Where could it lead?
Higher Professional Certificate/Diploma in Technical Salon Management (4450), Diploma Level 3 in Complementary Therapies, teacher training, sports therapies or employment within the hair, beauty and complementary therapy industries.
