This course is aimed at a wide variety of learners who wish to gain initial awareness and basic skills within the Hairdressing environment.

This course contains elements of both practical and theoretical based assessments. Emphasis is placed on the practical abilities of the student¿s work, with the essential requirement being that they participate in a ¿realistic working environment¿.

Successful candidates have the opportunity to progress to NQ Hairdressing.

Students leaving after this 1 yr programme can gain employment as a salon assistant.

This is achieved through a variety of practical and theoretical based formats. There is no end of year exam; focus is on the individual learner achieving at a pace suitable to their needs within the delivery of the course programme.
