Course programme

If you stayed away from patchwork because you thought it was too tricky, we’re happy to prove you wrong! First of all we’ll teach you how to use a sewing machine, including how to fill a bobbin, thread up a machine and sew a straight line. Then unravel the mystery of patchworking and get stuck into measuring and cutting fabric correctly, using the tools of the trade and confidently constructing your first piece of patchwork. The end result is this beautiful contemporary cushion, made in a traditional Ohio Star pattern. We’ll supply a range of six Amy Butler fabrics and some matching coloured fabrics, for you to choose from, giving you the chance to learn how fabrics work together.
