Course programme
If you want to give your sofa a new lease of life this summer learn how to make two simple matching (or contrasting!) cushions to brighten up your home. You really don’t need to be an expert to get sewing on this great beginners project. We’ll teach you all the basics of how to use a machine, including how to thread up, fill a bobbin and sew in a straight line. You’ll then move onto learning how to construct your cushion, sewing a zip in one and button holes on the other - giving you two great skills you can take away and use for other projects. You’ll also use an overlocker (a sewing machine that cuts the fabric while finishing the edges!) Bring along your own fabric to match your décor and then the satisfying bit - take them home and admire your handiwork!
