Standard entry to this course requires one reference. It is desirable that you can
demonstrate 95% attendance. A GCSE in both English and maths at grade 4 (C) or above is
required.

Course programme
Year 1
Students studying the Architectural Joinery Advanced Technical Diploma level 3 will cover the theoretical aspects of the subject and apply them to practical tasks. Compulsory topics include organising, planning and pricing construction work; and setting up and using fixed and transportable machinery. Students will also take the following units: manufacture curved joinery and manufacture stairs with turns. You will undertake English and maths, either at Functional or Skills or GCSE level, depending on your prior achievement. English, maths, work experience and modules relating to self-employment are an integral part of this study programme and will form a substantial part of your timetable for 16-18 yr olds.
