Develop skills to identify problems and formulate solutions in software design, development and engineering, design and development of databases, and other general computing areas. Build upon new skills and techniques around web development and data analytical applications. You’ll also gain in-depth expertise and skills as you apply your knowledge and plan, monitor and manage both group and individual projects. The course will involve lectures, tutorials, laboratory sessions, independent study and an option to study overseas in trimester 2 of year 3. This course is also offered with a year long industry based work placement in the third year of study. You’ll learn the processes involved in bringing a project to completion, as well as gaining vital communication, teamwork and reporting skills.
