BETA (Beginning Education & Training Activities)

Course Aims:
This course is designed to meet the needs of those who have moderate to severe learning difficulties. For most students the course provides a first experience of college and full-time study. The course aims to develop each person's life and social skills to their fullest potential, enabling them to contribute to the college and the community.

Entry Requirements:
There are no formal entry qualifications. Entry is decided after an interview following the taster course. Referrals can be made via special schools, adult resource centres, parents, carers or individuals. Bursary funding covers fees and travel arrangements. Students on this course stay on benefits.
