BICSc / BICS Food Premises Cleaning Certificate (FPCC)

The BICS Food Premises Cleaning Certificate (FPCC) is awarded and moderated by the British Institute of Cleaning Science (BICSc) and is nationally recognised within the Cleaning Industry. The course is for the qualification of cleaning operators within food premises. The FPCC covers all the practical cleaning tasks required in the cleaning of food premises and provides nationally recognised certification of competence to anyone carrying out these tasks.

The qualification can be delivered in an intensive 3-day programme, or on a modular basis over time.

The course aims to: improve cleaning standards benefit employers from cost effective training and assessment motivate and give recognition to those directly engaged on cleaning tasks

The scheme provides for the qualification of Food Premises cleaning operatives and highlights the professional approach of the employing organisation. It does so by setting the standard for the levels of achievement of basic grade personnel in the skills that they should have.

How does it work?

The most commonly used tasks are available to choose from and the training course consists of a total of ten suitable tasks. In order to achieve a pass the competencies and resources needed are to be proven in each chosen task.
