During your degree, you will be able to learn super-resolution and atomic force microscopy techniques from specialists in the University of Sheffield’s Biophysical Imaging Centre, and electron microscopy techniques from scientists in our dedicated £3 million facility.

One year individual programme of research. Taught material is complemented by a research project in one of our world-leading research groups or with one of our industrial partners.

Your training will cover the application of microscopy to a wide range of biological systems This will include practical applications on our world leading, optical, atomic force and electron microscopy imaging facilities.
