To provide a scientific understanding of biological knowledge and explore key biological issues that society faces in relation to, for example, health, disease, food and the environment.

Description Breakdown:
This AS is divided as follows:
Two Written Papers:
F211: Cells, Exchange and Transport
This Unit will look at cells and the exchange of materials across the plasma membrane

F212: Molecules, Biodiversity and Human Interactions
This Unit will look at biological molecules, enzymes, classification, variation, adaptation and evolution and human interaction.

Plus ONE internal assessment (F213):
Practical Skills in Biology 1

Trips Residentials: We will take learners to revision sessions offered by exam boards if they are local to us.
All learners on full time courses will be given the opportunity to visit universities for Open Days and HE fairs.
