1992-1993 Welding Supervisor, Sizewell B Nuclear Power Station.
•Babcock Supervisory training course for 6 months that included CSWIP Welding Inspection, QA and Welding Technology and Engineering.

1993-1997 Welding Instructor, Mitsui Babcock, Tipton.
•Instructional Techniques course, 2 weeks then started work in the welder-training
centre as one of the four welding instructors, training, testing, Assessment (D32/D33), plant/consumable evaluation, R&D work.

1997-2001 Chief Instructor, Mitsui Babcock, Tipton.
•Overall responsibility for all welder training/testing of 1000 welders year, management of the of the 5 members of staff and up to 60 welders on all aspects including; health and safety, review and development of new process and techniques, annual appraisals, labour selection/recruitment. IV Role for Company NASEC/ECITB/NSDS/NVQ (D34).
•Trouble shooting welding related issues on site and liaising with the clients and our own site Managers/Engineers.

2001-2007 Welding Technologist/Engineer, Mitsui Babcock, Tipton.
•Providing Technical support and back up to all our sites in the UK responsibilities include; writing/issuing welding and heat treatment procedures, liaising with senior client staff on welding related matters.
•Annual welding reviews with key clients such as RWE Innogy and British Energy.
•Producing Technical Reports for the company and our clients.
•Sole responsibility for all types of external enquiries from quotation through to delivery including; training, testing, trouble shooting, consultancy, procedure testing/writing.

Other Appointments
•Member of the City and Guilds National Advisory Committee for Engineering.
•Advisor to ECITB on Welding Training sitting on numerous committees developing new training material and documentation.
• UKSKILLS- UK’s Technical Expert for Welding for 2001 World Skills Competition held in Seoul, South Korea.
•UKSKILLS- UK’s Technical Expert for Welding for 2003 World Skills Competition held in St. Gallen, Switzerland.

Welder Training Qualification and Testing service.Standards Covered include:- EN 287, ASME IX, CAA, BS ISO 24394 , BS 4872. Comprising of a free site visit and consultation followed by a tailor made course to suite your Company's testing and training requirements.  Health & Safety and Welding Theory are also included as part of the welding training/testing service. Welding Consultancy service.Weld procedures written to all standards including EN/ASME codes , advice on techniques, plant, consumables, equipment, joint design and welding trouble shooting service.Welding Appreciation Course primarily aimed at Non-Welding personnel who are associated with welding activities in their current role who wish to gain an appreciation of welding requirements to enhance their descission making.A1 & V1 Assessment and Verification Services.All areas of the UK are covered and alsoI am able to offer advice and guidance for Training Centres and Providers on training for vocational qualifications.
