Following on from the P901 course, this module provides a background and an overview of the risk of Legionella infection in evaporative cooling and other high risk type systems. On successful completion the delegate will be able to demonstrate management and control in

1. Identifying the common options for heat rejection devices

2. Demonstrating an understanding of the basic principle of open evaporative cooling, drift eliminators and cooling tower.

3. Outlining the principles if a Legionella control regime including the key elements of chemical treatment and control, biocides and the hardness cycle.
