This class is the second half of an intensive survey of cognitive science for first-year graduate students. Topics include visual perception, language, memory, cognitive architecture, learning, reasoning, decision-making, and cognitive development. Topics covered are from behavioral, computational, and neural perspectives.

Lectures: 2 sessions / week, 3 hours / session
This class is an intensive survey of cognitive science. Topics will include visual perception, language, memory, cognitive architecture, learning, reasoning, decision-making, and cognitive development.
The class format will consist of some lectures and discussions led by the instructors, and some led by students. Each student will give one hour-and-a-half lecture and lead a discussion on one paper. In general, participation and discussion are highly encouraged.
There will be three exams, one at the end of each major section of the class. The exams will not be cumulative.
