Study Method:
There are a number of study methods including: formal classes, student centred learning; project work and practical activities.
Duration :Foundation 2 days a week for 1 year
Intermediate 2 days a week for 1 year
Who the Course is For:
This course is designed for school leavers and those students who wish to gain the necessary skills required in aspects of the bricklaying trade.
Assessment:
The practical activities are continuously assessed by the course tutor and monitored by a City & Guilds verifier. The theory is assessed through unitised knowledge questioning and an end of year examination.
Course Leads To:
You will be initially working towards level 1 Diploma (Year 1) which then leads to the level 2 (Year 2). On completion of this award, students who find employment in this trade area can gain evidence and work towards a level 2 NVQ.
