To enable course candidat to: Produce a site specific Risk Assessment for wood chipping operations. State the principles of HSE legislation and safety guidelines for using a woodchipper. Select the appropriate PPE and state the maintenance requirements. Carry out operator checks and identify the safety features of a woodchipper. Carry out routine operator maintenance. Inspect and identify defects on the blades. Prepare machine prior to operation, start the machine, carry out safety checks and stop machine. Prepare a work area and a range of materials for chipping and identify. Suitable for: Novices and experianced users who are seeking update training. candidates must be 16+

The training will be on a power fed wood chipper. candidates will have to provide safty boots, non snag outer clothing, and a foresty style safty helmet with eye and ear protection There is an option to have an additional NPTC assessment if requested plese cal lto discuss.

This training cource can be offered as ether an ITA were the instructor assesses candidates performace through the day and if they perform top a required standard will be certificated through Lantra Awards. Alternitivley if you require a seperate NPTC assessment this can be facilited, the cource will be a training only delivery and a seperate assessment arraged.
