A degree in statistics opens doors to many other academic and professional fields, from economics to sports to politics. In the STEM-designated Bachelor of Science in Statistics program, students learn about the mechanics of statistical data and analysis, as well as how to apply that knowledge to real-world issues.
Majors complete core coursework in algebra and statistics, as well as four upper-level courses from topics such as Business and Economic Statistics, Applied Time Series Analysis and a variety of special topics.
