BSc Applied Accountancy

Introduction

In order to obtain the degree, students are required to complete and submit:

• Research and Analysis project (5,000 word report), and
• Key Skills Statement (1,500 word statement)

In order to prepare the two reports, a mentor will be assigned to you. The mentor will schedule formal meetings so that the two pieces of work are completed and submitted within a prescribed time. Final Submission, may be between September - December & March - June

Students with 2 ‘A' levels can pursue the two year course as follows:

CBE Exam in 1.1, 1.2 at end of semester

Semester 2

2.1 Information Systems

Exams in 1.3, 2.1(Paper based exam in June or December)

YEAR 2 (September/April start)

2.2 Corporate & Business Law

2.3 Business Taxation

Exams in December or June

Semester 4

2.4 Financial Management & Control

2.5 Financial Reporting

2.6 Audit & Internal Review
