Course introduction: This course will provide you with a firm knowledge of the theory and practice of computing science. Computing science underpins computational applications ranging from computer games and social networking to advanced data analytics. The course initially aims to provide you with the core underpinnings of computing science, covering: software development mathematics interaction design database systems computer systems software engineering The degree then focuses on more theoretical concepts such as design patterns, graphics programming and algorithms. In the Honours year, you'll undertake a major project, as well as advanced level modules including Concurrent and Parallel Systems, Data Analytics, and Computational Intelligence.
