This is a course designed for students who would like to pursue a career in finance particularly for those interested in the field of accounting. You will acquire both the knowledge and skills employers are looking for along with a strong understanding of the current issues in modern accounting and finance.
This course will be considered for a 9 paper exemption by ACCA.
Upon successful completion of this degree, students can follow a wide range of careers in accounting and finance or business management.
About this course
Grades BBC at A Level and Grade C or grade 4 or above in GCSE Maths and English Language (or equivalent qualifications).
In addition to the above entry requirements, applicants with further professional body qualifications (papers) applying for BSc Accounting & Finance have the following options:
-ACCA F1-F4 or CIMA BA1-BA4: direct entry to Year 2
-ACCA F1-F9: direct entry to Year 3
For international students, we require an English language level equivalent to IELTS 6.0 or above, with a minimum of 5.5 in each component.

Additional information
All students who are from outside the EEA must have immigration permission that allows them to study in the UK. If you need a Tier 4 Student visa to study in the UK, the University can sponsor your application and will need to issue you with a Certificate of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) before you can apply for your visa. Before we can issue a CAS, you will have to complete a Visa Requirements form so we can confirm you are eligible for a Tier 4 sponsorship. You must also make a pre-payment of £3,000 towards your tuition fees and some students will be asked to submit copies of the financial evidence they will be including with their visa application.
