What you will learn

The BSc Hons degree is delivered in partnership with De Montfort University. Practical skills applicable to the Audio Industry are complemented by studies that will develop an understanding of the science and technology relevant to audio and recording systems and production environments. You will also learn how to integrate sound with other media such as radio, video, multimedia and the web.

Progression

Careers opportunities after graduation can include studio recording, mixing, mastering and post production, studio design and installation, film, television, multimedia sound integration and broadcast sound engineering.

Day to day experience

Studio sessions, related lectures and seminars take place at
Confetti and further lectures, seminars and lab sessions take place at De Montfort University. You can expect to spend time in both establishments on a weekly basis. As well as attending the regular lectures and sessions, you will have independent learning time to develop both your practical and academic skills. Assessment is through coursework, exams and essays.

Time commitment

This is a 3 year, full-time, course and will require a high level of commitment and drive. Each year you will study four 24-week modules plus exams.

Funding

Higher education courses qualify for Local Education Authority (LEA) funding and you may also be entitled to a student loan. Further information about funding is available on request and you are also advised to contact your LEA if you have not already done so.

The course is validated through De Montfort University. The partnership between Confetti and De Montfort University will provide you with the best balance of a professional working environment with the full student support expected of a higher education establishment.
