The BSc (Hons) Digital and Technology Solutions Degree Apprenticeship is available with 4 different specialist pathways, including Consultancy, Software Engineering, Business Analysis and Data Analysis. Part of the School of Computing and IT, the different routes will enable you to refine and focus your studies in an area that interests you, and become a go-to expert for all things computing within the business.

About this course

As a Degree Apprentice, you will be learning and gaining an Undergraduate qualification whilst working full-time – it really is the smart way to learn, work and earn at the same time.

From the moment you begin, the knowledge and skills that you develop through your studies can be applied to your role straight away. Upon successful completion, you’ll gain an Undergraduate Degree in BSc (Hons) Digital and Technology Solutions and be equipped with valuable skills and confidence to take on a senior role within the digital and technology sector.

You will also have sought-after skills and knowledge relating to a specific subject area you are interested in, plus the valuable experience of applying what you have learned to your role and workplace.

Also, to be eligible for this BSc (Hons) Digital and Technology Solutions course you must have either:

Two subjects at GCE A-Level or equivalent, plus passes at grade C or above in English and Maths, plus one other subject, at GCSE level or equivalent;
or

Have completed a recognised Access Programme or equivalent.
For students whose prior learning was not taught in English:

IELTS 6.0 or equivalent (no less than 5.5 in any element).

The Digital & Technology Solutions Degree Apprenticeship is perfect for those who wish to develop their practical and intellectual skills in the deployment of technology in the workplace.

There are 4 different specialist pathways to choose from, including Consultancy, Software Engineer, Business Analysis and Data Analysis. Whichever path you choose, you will gain valuable computing and business skills, including the fundamentals of databases, programming, security, systems analysis and design.

As a Degree Apprentice, your work-based learning becomes an integral part of your qualification. As you are working, you will build up a portfolio of evidence including completed assessments, evaluations from the workplace, presentations, minutes of meetings, business proposals and performance reviews. Our Arden Student Support Coordinators and your assessor will be able to help you with this.

Assessments at Arden University are designed to enable you to use evidence that arises in your daily work and you will have the opportunity to create working solutions to specific workplace issues.

Towards the end of the programme, you will complete a work-based project that brings together elements of your learning that demonstrate how your knowledge and understanding of management have been applied in the organisation. The final assessment will be a panel interview, where you will present your project, portfolio of evidence and will include a Q&A session.
