You will have an opportunity to discuss and evaluate a range of research methods to collect and review data on the coaching workforce and will explore the workforce in a chosen setting.& nbsp;

The module will develop the students conceptual and applied awareness and understanding of performance analysis in football, with particular reference to coaching and performance. The students will be provided with a football placement where they will analyse the team and disseminate their interpretation of the performance data to the teams coach.

You will experience& nbsp;and examine the coaching process and acquire basic pedagogical skills through planning, delivering and evaluating sessions. You will be expected to micro-coach, working with a peer mentor to support your development.

The purpose of this module is to provide preparation for your research project at Level 6. This preparation will take the form of a research proposal consisting of the development of a research question, aims and objectives, literature review, a research design and ethical considerations all of which will be delivered in weekly 'themes' and concluded with a opportunity for formative feedback.

This module requires you to undertake a work-based placement related to the sport & physical activity industry. You will develop your identity as a professional in your field, including a set of values, skills, and attributes required for graduate employment. You will build on your understanding and self-awareness developed at Level 4 to negotiate a personal learning agreement, including a set of developmental goals that will enhance your employability. Both during and following your placement, you will reflect on your learning and heightened self-awareness of areas for further development. You will develop your capacity to articulate your readiness for employment to others.
