Introducing your course
Better treatment for diseases such as cancer, AIDS, depression, malaria, and heart failure are just some of the recent advances in pharmacology. You could be part of future drug development with the skills gained on this course.
You will gain an in-depth understanding of major pharmacological concepts and principles, from the discovery and production of new drugs, to how existing drugs can be improved. Our multimillion pound Life Sciences building will provide the ideal setting for you to hone your laboratory and research skills.
Students have the option of working in the pharmaceutical industry for a year and in your final year you will complete an individual research project alongside our expert staff who are working at the cutting edge of pharmacological research.
