ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:

You should be at least 16 by 31 December in the year of entry to the course

Entry to level 3 is dependent upon interview

You should have a relevant Level 2 qualification or five grades at GCSE, one of which must be English

If you are over 21 years without standard entry qualifications, but with suitable work experience, literacy and IT skills you are welcome to apply, however, generally it is recommended that level 2 is completed first.

WHO IS THE COURSE FOR?
This course should be your choice if you:

Would like work in an office environment

Would like to widen your career opportunities to include the provision of administrative support to a wide range of business types

Wish to achieve an administrative qualification allowing you to progress to a higher level of education.

WHAT WILL I LEARN?
The Level 3 Award in Business Administration is made up of three units:

Unit 1 Working in Administration

Unit 8 Leadership and Innovation

Unit 9 IT in an Administrative Environment

The units are part of the overall BTEC Diploma in Administration level 3, for which you will need to study a further to achieve. The option to complete a BTEC Diploma in Administration level 3 is not currently available part time.

HOW WILL I LEARN?
The course is made up of a series of internal assessments and assignments, which are graded on a pass or refer basis. In order to complete the qualification you must pass all 3 units. As a result of successful completion of the course you will a Level 3 BTEC Award in Business Administration.

WHAT CAN THIS COURSE LEAD TO?
The BTEC Award in Business Administration is a qualification that encompasses a wide range of administrative functions and activities at an operational and supervisory level.

By the end of the course you will possess an excellent level of administrative and supervisory expertise. Such skills provide a high level of employability, both here and abroad, across a range of organisations, large and small.

The units studied on the BTEC Award in Business Administration are part of the overall BTEC Diploma in Administration level 3. The option to complete a BTEC Diploma in Administration level 3 is not currently available part time. However, further progression can be gained by choosing the Certificate in Management (CMI) course; which is designed for a supervisor or team leader who has the authority and personal attributes to organise and direct the work of others in order to produce the desired outcomes. It is equally valuable for the person who aspires to such a role.
