Applicants will have met the following entry requirements:
BTEC Award Level 2 in Graphic Design (Photoshop with Desktop Publishing or Web Design); or
An equivalent FE Level 2 award in graphics-related media;
Applicants would benefit from some knowledge of computers and an interest in Design, Print, Journalism or Photography and will be expected to attend a successful interview with satisfactory references providing information on behaviour, punctuality and attendance.
PROGRAMME CONTENT/STRUCTURE
On this course students will include use the following applications: Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Photoshop, Dreamweaver. Students will undertake a range of exercises designed to introduce a range of common DTP/Web applications and Photoshop's tools and palettes. This course will develop into a range of practical outcomes testing and developing students' skills in Photoshop to edit images, Illustrator to create vector grahpics, InDesign to create a range of common DTP outcomes and Dreamweaver to explore web-based applications.
