BTEC Award in Sport Level 3

This one year course is designed for students with a real interest in Sport and who want to improve their qualifications.
If successful, students can choose to stay on at College for a second year in order to add to their qualifications or they can seek employment in the sport and leisure industry.
This course is ideal as a fourth course combination for a second year student who has a keen interest in Sport.
This course will be equivalent to half of your timetable at BHASVIC.
If successful, you will achieve a qualification which is equal to one A Level.

What is the course content?
The BTEC Award includes the following modules:

• Body in action
• Training and Fitness for Sport
• Sports Coaching
• Health and Safety
• Practical Team Sports
• Principles and practice in outdoor education

How will your work be assessed?
The BTEC National Award is portfolio based and you can achieve a pass, merit or distinction (equivalent to one A Level)

What are the entry requirements?
Four GCSE grades at C or above in at least three different subjects.
