Who is this course for? For people who have A-level or Advanced Vocational Certificate or mature students who have completed a preparatory art and design course, and who want to study to degree level.

What do I need to get on the course? You should have a portfolio of work and have achieved one of the following levels of qualification:

What will I study? You explore textile and fashion techniques that are groundbreaking, experimental and not led by the industries. You will learn a wide range of techniques and skills in:

· textiles and fashion

· fashion illustration

· drawing

· colourwork

· design development

· presentation

· contextual studies (embedded in all modules).

What qualification will I get? BTEC Diploma in Foundation Studies (Art & Design)

What can I do after the course? Degrees in textiles, mixed media, fine art textiles, fashion, theatre, jewellery, accessories, shoes, styling, pattern cutting, garment technology, fashion illustration. Vocational diplomas in tailoring, shoes, accessories, embroidery, knit, pattern cutting and garment technology.

How do I get on the course? Complete a College application form, followed by interview.
