Course Content: This course will provide you with an introduction to Hairdressing and Beauty Therapy as well as practical experience within the field. Throughout the course you will benefit from ongoing support from a team of friendly, experienced staff. During the year you will cover Basic Skills (Literacy, Numeracy and IT) and Personal Development units such as Working Together and Personal Presentation.

Introduction Beauty Therapy is designed to provide a lot of support from experienced staff and also includes Basic Skills (Literacy, Numeracy and I.T.)

Special Features: Although this is a practically based course there is an element of written work and assignments. This course would suit students who require a lot of support.

Progression: Once you have completed this course you will have achieved a full Entry Certificate in Skills for Working Life. This is the first step towards your career in the Beauty area of work. You will then qualify to progress onto studying NVQ Level 1 in Beauty Therapy or NVQ Level 1 Hairdressing.
