About this course

You will need to show passion, enthusiasm, commitment and have a portfolio of work to show at interview. You will need 4 GCSEs at grade 4 (grade C) or above, or a Level 2 Diploma in Art and Design with merit or distinction grades, and a proven record of attendance and engagement in English and Maths.

Course programme

What will I study on the course?

If you want to develop an understanding of the process and practical skills related to film, television and commercial/industrial production to prepare you for an exciting and challenging career this course could be for you. The programme will prepare you for a career working across a variety of roles in the film, TV or commercial production or help you to progress to University. The course will give you the opportunity to create a range of fiction and factual projects covering a whole range of exciting and engaging subjects such as TV news, TV studio work, short film, video documentary, drama, animation, scriptwriting, film studies, special effects, directing, producing, editing and post-production work. You ll prepare a show-reel and portfolio of work to take with you and you ll host your very own end of year media show.

The course is run over four days per week for 35 weeks.
