· Course Overview: · The programme is an exciting opportunity for Year 10 students to develop both practical skills and knowledge of a number of construction trades, construction management and design.
Students will spend initially 2 days at week studying the BTEC First Diploma in Construction, which is the equivalent to 4 GCSEs grade A - C, primarily at Calderdale college or the Construction Academy. As an extension of this course will also complete 50 days work experience which will be incorporated into one of your days of study. You will also have the opportunity to gain certificates in Health & Safety, COSHH, Manual Handling and First Aid.

Entry Requirements: · Sat's scores at Key Stage 3 of level 5 or above in English, Maths and Science
Evidence of a keen interest in your chosen course. Good evidence of attendance and punctuality in school.
