Course Description
The course will provide you with a broad background into Computer Hardware (upgrading and repairing) and Software development (Programming with VB).You will be introduced to Programming Design Development, and learn WEB site design, Networking (build networks) and Computer Graphics (produce digital graphics).

Entry Requirements
4 GCSEs Grade D, incl. English. (Maths D for some courses). Or Pass in Level 1 Vocational Qual., Merit for BTECs, plus Key Skills Level 1 Comm. (App. of Number for some courses) or equivalent. Diplomas require Functional Skills in ICT, Maths and English.

• ICT Graphics (Introduction to Photoshop, Flash and Freehand)
• Computer Systems (Repairing and Upgrading)
• Using ICT to Present Information (Using Packages, Word Processing, Databases)
• Networking Essentials (Introduction to building LANS and WANS)
• Website Development using MS FrontPage and Dreamweaver
• Software Design and Development (Programming using VB)

Assessment: You will be assessed through course work. This course will give you a Level 2 qualification, equivalent to 4 GCSEs, and the potential to gain Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician.
