What will I study?
This course is a level 2 qualification in Science which covers the basic principles of Applied Science. It has been developed to focus on the knowledge, skills and understanding of learners who are intent on a career in science, such as quality control, research, forensics, medical work, etc.
How can I progress?
Progression can be either into employment, or onto AS Applied Science Double Award. (At least a merit is required for the latter)

Course Structure
Six units in total will be studied, 3 of which are designated as compulsory by the awarding body and 3 which will be chosen from a list of options. Core Units (compulsory) *Science Technician at work, *Scientific Principles, *The Science Workplace. Specialist units (3 will be studied) *Applications of Chemistry, *Physical Sciences, *Environmental Science, *Data Processing for Science Technicians, *An introduction to ICT and Labortory MIS, *Plants and Food.
