2. Course description This course provides technical knowledge and higher level skills in team leading, report writing, project management and presentation skills. It reflects the changing needs of the engineering industry. You must achieve 8 units, 4 units in the first year and 4 units in the second year. 3 core units: -Analytical methods for engineers -Engineering science -Project design, implementation and evaluation Plus 5 other specialised engineering units. These may include: -Mechanical Principles -Engineering Design -Manufacturing Process -Mechatronic Systems -Health, Safety and Risk Assessment in Engineering The college can deliver, flexibly, units chosen by your employer.

3. Entry requirements Appropriate previous qualifications and experience with communication, English and maths at the appropriate level are required. A good level of maths is desirable. IT skills would be an advantage however at the end of the course and as a result of your studies you could be able to use PowerPoint, Word, Excel, MS Project and other useful packages. Accreditation of prior learning from other courses may be possible.
