This course is designed to teach you the skills needed in Business. You will learn what skills are needed by employers and the skills you would need to become an entrepreneur. The L2 Diploma in Enterprise and Entrepreneurship is a more practical based course where you will write a business plan for a business of your choice and have the chance to set the business up within the College. During the course of the year, you will have the chance to engage with local entrepreneurs and employers.

Course Content

The units studies will include:

Unit 1: The Entrepreneurial Mindset

Unit 2: Creating a Vision for your Business Plan

Unit 3: The Business Environment

Unit 4: Researching your Market

Unit 5: The Marketing Plan

Unit 6: Financial Modelling and Forecasting

Unit 7: Preparing and Pitching a Business Plan

Unit 8: Leadership and Teamwork

Unit 11: Enterprise in the Workplace

As part of your course, you will be required to study torwards functional skills or GCSE in Maths and English.


Method of Study

You will learn through a variety of lectures, group exercises, practical work, seminars and undertake directed and self-study.
