Course Description

Entry Requirements
4 GCSEs Grade D, incl. English. (Maths D for some courses). Or Pass in Level 1 Vocational Qual., Merit for BTECs, plus Key Skills Level 1 Comm. (App. of Number for some courses) or equivalent. Diplomas require Functional Skills in ICT, Maths and English.

Modules Studied:

• research the airport industry and the role of the airport passenger services agent
• understand the airport knowledge required by the airport passenger services agent
• deal effectively with the processing of passengers
• identify the boarding process
• identify the procedures for decontrolling passengers
• identify the procedures involved in disembarkation

Attendance Modes: Day

Assessment: Assignments will cover the knowledge and understanding required for each module, taking into account research of airports, processing passengers, airport & airline communication terms, job role & responsibilities.

Progression Routes: You can move into employment within the airport industry as a trainee passsenger service agent. You can continue your studies on to other Level 2 travel & tourism courses or BTEC National Award/Certificate/Diploma in Travel & Tourism
