12 units must be completed for a certificate.5 core units; (the project is a double units) plus 6 vocational.The Core Units are: Business Systems for Technicians, Communications for Techn's, Mathematics for Techni's,Project (Double Unit), Electrical and Electronic Principles. Vocational Units are: Electronic Devices + Circuits, PLC's, Digital Electronics. Further Elec Principles, Further Electronics, Applications of Analogue Electronics, Elec Technology, Elec Applications, Electronic CAD + Analysis, Three Phase Systems, Control Technology, Microprocessor Systems. Further Maths for Tech's. Assessment is by written tests, project work, practical assignment.
