Technical and creative skills and industry knowledge for a variety of media.
This programme offers vocationally related training for people intending to work, or who currently work, within the media production/radio industries. It will provide you with a nationally recognised, vocation specific qualification with relevant skills and knowledge. It introduces you to the technical and creative skills and industry knowledge for a variety of media, focusing on all aspects of audio production for music and talk radio.
Some of the units may include:
- Pre-production techniques
- Understanding the radio industry
- Audio production processes and techniques
- Research techniques
- Radio advertising
- Interview techniques
- Editing
When you come for assessment we will work with you to identify the appropriate start date, duration, level of study and content which will help you achieve your personal and employment goals.
What next?
Your main opportunity for work experience is working within RNC's commercial recording sessions and during live performances in the College. External work placements are also possible and learners have previously been placed in radio/recording studios, theatres and music events all over the UK.
