Course Units The course is made up of twelve units. Core Units:

· Government, Politics and the Public Services
· Team Leadership in the Uniformed Public Services
· Citizenship, Contemporary Society and the Public Services
· Team Development in Public Services
· Understanding Discipline within the Uniformed Public Services

Specialist Units:

· Diversity and the Public Services
· Physical Preparation and Fitness for the Uniformed Services
· Outdoor and Adventurous Expedition
· Skills for Land Based Outdoor and Adventurous Activities
· Skills for Water Based Outdoor and Adventurous Activities
· Understanding the Criminal Justice System and Police Powers
· Understanding Behaviour in Public Sector Employment

Assessment Throughout the course students will complete a number of assignments for each unit of study.
