Information about the course

This new art and design course commenced September 2007. Our exciting National Diploma programme in Interactive Media is designed to have broad appeal. The course provides opportunities to develop creative ideas and obtain technical skills to produce a range of multimedia solutions.

Course content

Core units include: Visual Recording, Ideas/Concepts and Visual Communication. Specialist units include: Lens-based Image Making, Image Manipulation, 3D Computer Modelling, Desktop Publishing, Drawing Concept Art for Computer Games, Video Production for Interacrtive Media, 3D Animation and Website Design.

Additionality

You will be working in very well equipped studios, computer rooms and darkrooms. You are taught by a team of lecturers who are professionally qualified and vocationally experienced. You will gain both practical skills and a strong visual awareness by undertaking a range or integrated assignments that are subject to continuous assessment.


Students are expected to undertake a programme of guided research in a wide range of interactive media. There is a strong emphasis on practical work using College computers (PC and Apple)
