Information about the course

The course covers all aspects of beauty therapy with a strong science and management emphasis. It includes facial and body work and electrolysis. Students are taught in commercially working clinics in college. There will be work experience, plus educational visits and competition work

WORK EXPERIENCE
All students will be required to undertake a work experience placement. The aim is to provide students with the opportunity to apply their skills and knowledge in a real working environment.

Assessment

Students will be continually assessed through a series of written, oral and practical work assignments.
Each module will be assessed by assignments.

Progression

Successful completion of the BTEC National Diploma in Beauty Therapy Sciences can lead to entry into university - Higher Education, Foundation degrees or into part-time alternative therapy courses such as reflexology.
