Description of the Course
This course is designed to provide the underpinning knowledge and understanding skills for IT Practitioners who are employed or wish to be employed as IT Practitioners or Technicians in a variety of types of IT-based and technical work in supporting roles. The BTEC National Diploma for IT Practioners(System Support) consists of 17 units. This includes six core units and eleven specialist unit of which Unit 4 - IT Project has 120 Guided Learning Hours.

Assignments, written assessments, portfolio building.
Who is the course for?
IT Practitioners who are employed or wish to be employed as an IT Support Technician in a variety of IT based and technical work in supporting roles.
Entry requirements
An average of Grade C for 4 or more GCSEs including English or you will have successfully completed a level 2 programme with a merit / distinction grade. You may also be asked to demonstrate your commitment and skills in an interview. If you do not have the required entry qualifications there will be an opportunity for you to demonstrate your abilities to undertake the course.
