At least Grade C for 4 or more GCSEs including English Language or a merit/distinction on a level 2 programme. You may also be asked to demonstrate your commitment and skills in an interview. If you do not have the required entry qualifications there will be an opportunity for you to demonstrate your abilities to undertake the course.

Description of the Course
This course is designed to provide the underpinning knowledge and understanding skills for IT Practitioners who are employed or wish to be employed in a variety of types of IT-based and technical work in Software Development and Website Development. The BTEC National Diploma for IT Practitioners (Software Development) consists of 17 units. This includes six core units and eleven specialist units of which the IT Project (Unit 4) has 120 Guided Learning Hours. The course will include keyskills assessment in Communication and Application of Number.
