What do I need to get on the course?
· Four GCSEs at grade A*-C including science, English and maths, or
BTEC First Diploma Sports Science
You must have very good communication skills.
What will I study? The course includes core sciences, anatomy and physiology, exercise physiology, sports psychology and sports nutrition. You may complete options in coaching, fitness appraisal, biomechanics, sports rehabilitation, sports massage and sports technology.
It is taught by fitness instructors and sport science professionals with a wide range of experience and qualifications. You will use specialist facilities that are not normally available on college run courses. These include a sport science lab, a new gym featuring weights and aerobic equipment (designed specifically for sport science classes), and access to Saddler¿s indoor sport hall. You may also be offered summer employment in areas such as life guarding.
