Business & Administration has a crucial role to play in every organisation, therefore this is a very valuable apprenticeship for both the organisation and the apprentice to undertake. This particular apprenticeship can be applied across a wide range of sectors and industries creating a huge range of opportunities for the apprentice. It requires the apprentice to be able to produce reports and correspondence, and deal with staff within their organisation as well as with customers and clients.
According to research carried out by Edexcel, 4.7 million people currently work in business and administration which equates to almost 50% of the workforce. Roles in business and administration include a wide range of opportunities from junior secretary right through to managing director.
The Business admin apprenticeship will enable the learner to carry out the following tasks such as:
- Communicate effectively with colleagues & customers
- Send and receive emails
- Produce documents, e.g. letters and spreadsheets
- Manage activities by using a manual/electronic diary
- Research and report information
- Record and produce minutes for meetings
