A range of GCSEs at D or above including English and preferably Maths or equivalent OR
A BTEC Introductory Diploma in Business with a satisfactory reference and equivalent literacy and preferably numeracy OR
A relevant equivalent Level 1 qualification with equivalent literacy and preferably numeracy.

Additionality
You will be expected to take part in a work experience placement and can also opt to supplement your study with other courses, if available within the timetable offered.
Assessment
Assessments will be via a combination of assignments which may include some of the following techniques - presentations, reports, role plays. At the end of the course a portfolio of evidence will be presented and graded at pass, merit or distinction level.
Progression
This course will prepare you for entry into employment in a variety of fields or for advanced level study . You will be eligible to apply for a place on the BTEC National Diploma in Business if you have achieved a merit grade for the BTEC First Diploma course.
Work Experience You will be expected to take part in a work experience placement.
