Why choose this course? This new-look Business course at the revamped North Wales Business School is a degree which explores all aspects of commerce, entrepreneurship and industry.

Interactive, blended learning, friendly lecturers, field trips, work-placements and engagement with some of the region’s top employers give our students the best possible chance of achieving their chosen career on graduating.

In the most recent National Student Survey, 88% of our Business students felt they had significantly improved their level of personal development and confidence. We achieve this by working closely with all them to understand their abilities and areas for improvement in order to harness their individual potential.

We are passionate about excellence for all of our students and that is reflected in their grades. In the first semester of the 2015/16 academic year, more than 85% of North Wales Business School students achieved a 2:1 or above, which is higher than the national average and proves that our focus is not only on delivering cutting-edge and relevant degrees, but also supporting our students to gain the best possible results.

Most important of all, we care about our students. You would never be just as face in the crowd as the team at Wrexham are always on hand to offer support and guidance, acting as personal tutors and mentors throughout your time with us, and beyond.

Course programme

  • The Business School has excellent links with professional bodies and business experts who enhance our teaching with guest lectures. In the last year, this has included Ann Francke, the CEO of the Chartered Management Institute and Felipe Alviar-Baquero, who was a popular finalist on the BBC’s The Apprentice TV show.
  • Flexible delivery allows some evening attendance to cater for students with busy schedules or family commitments.
  • Work placement opportunities are available to all of our students who demonstrate a good standard of engagement and professionalism during their studies.
  • Graduates of the BA (Hons) Business programme will also be awarded a Level 5 Diploma in Management and Leadership from The Chartered Management Institute (CMI).

Our Business degree provides significant flexibility, allowing you to tailor your modules to your individual needs. You can select from a wide range of modules across our other Business School degrees. In the first year you will take introductory modules in marketing, economics and big data, in addition to learning about the history and future of business.

As you move into years two and three, you will be able to select your own areas of specialism.
