Delivery of the course is undertaken by highly qualified lecturers with a balance of experience in teaching and industry. This hands-on knowledge and experience of actual business activity ensures that students receive a credible and relevant business education.
Students will participate in the operation of the course Business Consultancy scheme. It will involve meeting with local businesses and providing real business solutions to real business problems. This will allow students to apply their learning in areas including marketing, advertising, promotion, customer service, accounting and system design to experience how to deal with the real issues facing business management professionals today.
Entrepreneurship is also vigorously promoted providing real opportunities for students to also apply what they are learning in a real ‘hands on’ environment.
The optional Welsh Baccalaureate module is seamlessly combined into the programme of study, broadening students' knowledge, understanding and experience of the local, national and global business, social and economic environment.
Each course option is made up of a set number of units, including business management, marketing, information technology, business environment, accountancy and a range of other subjects.

Course programme
There is a combination of theoretical and practical based delivery.
Assessment is based upon achievement of specified outcomes (assignments) in respect of taught units of study. All units are individually graded as Pass, Merit or Distinction. Classroom hours are 18 per week. All Level 3 courses will require considerable extra work outside of classroom time.
At the College you can progress to the HND Business and Accountancy or the Foundation Degree in Events Management Further study at university in a related subject. Management training in the private/public sectors, banks or financial institutions. This course also develops the skills needed to start a small business.
Five GCSEs at grade C or above or the Level 2 Diploma at Merit or above required to undertake this course.
